Need a Business Idea? Here is how to find it!

Geraldine Gauthier, you have coached many entrepreneurs struggling to find their next big idea. Is there a way for them to unlock their creative potential and passion?

Geraldine:

I believe each of us is innately innovative and creative. Some more so than others, but we’ve all got the spark hidden somewhere down deep inside us. Creativity is such an essential part of being human that it can never fully be bred out of us. Here is a 5-step process to unearth your creativity and translate your next big idea into reality.

  1. Find a compelling idea: Judge what doesn’t work in your day-to-day life and see if there is a way to make it better. Most ideas are just in front of you in your daily life, solving pain points. Once you have an idea, make it clear & compelling. Make it SMART. Create your irresistible offer that brings irresistible value to a well-defined segment.
  2. Know your WHY: 8 out of 10 of all businesses fail within the first 18 months. Despite that, it is clear that the potential pleasure of succeeding as an entrepreneur far outweighs the probability of failure that plagues most flagging business owner. The main reason why most entrepreneurs fail is due to a lack of persistence. It’s hard running a business. Very hard. You never actually know how close you were to success before you gave up. How committed are you to achieving your goals and what are your fundamental reasons why you must succeed in the first place? When the reasons are deep-rooted reasons rather than superficial ones, we usually end up pushing through.
  3. Get into action now: Ideas don’t have to be perfect. The biggest hurdle to most new entrepreneurs is the over-romanticizing of their idea. They will think about it all summer and then the energy is gone. Have a bias to action and create momentum. A good way can be to add regular deadlines you cannot walk away from.
  4. Be laser-focused on your objective and outcome. Where focus goes, energy flows. And don’t forget, complexity is the enemy of execution. Successful entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg were absolutely obsessed with their idea and delivering it.
  5. Believe in collective intelligence: Find the right partner(s) that will bring the talents you don’t have and develop your ecosystem. They will also help bounce ideas and energy. Also, don’t forget to get a coach, mentor and/or create a board. Even the top professional players get a coach. Why? They see things that you may not.

Geraldine, you have created a successful school for life coaches with GoMasterCoach. Did you apply this process to yourself?

Definitely! I have seen how much myself and other coaches have been struggling to find ready-to-use tools and programs.

Certification schools would prepare you on your listening and questioning skills, but nothing on tools and programs. After getting certified, you are left on your own creating your own programs. You have to create tools though a survey monkey for example, then manually create reports, which doesn’t look super professional.

It is quite a painful start for someone who wants to launch his coaching practice. That’s why I created GoMasterCoach school and toolbox.

–           A Certification School focusing also on teaching future coaches about tools and programs

–           Access to a Toolbox (web-app) with ready-to-use tools and programs, which generates automatic reports

–           Digital Marketing and Sales training for the entrepreneurs
